Westelcom is constantly expanding, building fiber and adding segments to our network. Our outside plant construction group is comprised of highly experienced individuals backed by our own in-house engineering services that permits, builds, maintains and monitors our fiber optic networks.
Westelcom has the necessary equipment to build, repair, and maintain our fiber networks. Our equipment includes bucket trucks, splice trailers, boring machines, fiber meters, fiber detectors, optical time domain reflectometers (OTDR), and wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) testing equipment. We also maintain an inventory of outside fiber optic cable and the various insurance coverages needed to handle all types of construction, including rail and highway crossings.
