Eric Svenson is the Vice President of Carrier Engineering for the Westelcom Family of Companies and is responsible for the management, training, and development of all Westelcom’s engineering resources. Mr. Svenson has over 17 years of experience in the information technology and telecommunications industries having held multiple engineering and network administration positions. Prior to joining Westelcom, Mr. Svenson was Senior Network Architect for Trek Bicycle Corporation with responsibility for the design, engineering, and maintenance of Trek’s global network and data centers. Prior to joining Trek, Mr. Svenson was a Senior Network Engineer for Time Warner Cable where he led an engineering group toward standardization and convergence of services from multiple networks onto a single platform. His responsibility included the Time Warner network architecture covering upstate New York, Maine, New York City, and the Carolinas. Mr. Svenson also maintained Time Warner’s multicast video service network, optical network, routing, switching and commercial edge devices. Prior to Time Warner, Mr. Svenson served as a Senior Network Administrator for the Westelcom Family of Companies and as Service Manager for Matrix Computers. Mr. Svenson holds a BS in Telecommunications Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master in Business Administration from Syracuse University, as well as, numerous advanced certifications in switching and routing technologies.
